I’d like to ask you a question: how wealthy are you? Think…think…you have an answer yet? Okay, the question might not be what you thought I meant. Let me explain. According to Robert Kiyosaki in his book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, the question “how wealthy are you?” essentially means “how many days you can live by without working?” That’s right, to rephrase it, the real question is: if you stop working right now, and by relying solely on your passive income to cover your expenses, how many days can you survive?

It’s tough to build a successful blog. It takes years of hard work and frustration along the way. And, it’s probably not the quickest path to instant money making (you can sell something on Ebay today to earn money). But, if it works out, it will give you both time and money, not just money with no time to spend it. It will give you the freedom of working anywhere in the world (provided there’s Internet connection). It will also give you the chance to share your passion and knowledge with everyone in the world. Isn’t life just like blogging?

Sometimes it’s important to take a step back in what you do and really understand why you’re doing what you’re doing. That’s exactly what I did. Through this period of break, which is long considering I’d been blogging every 2-3 days in the past for months, I learned a few very important lessons in life.
