Happy 2010!

And to start it off strong, I’ve decided to change the design of my blog.

Why?

Other than the fact that a better looking blog will convey the message that it’s more professional, trustworthy, and competent, I’ve noticed that the old design is a little too cluttered for the users to navigate around. Specifically, I didn’t like the following:

1) 4 columns on the home page – took me a while to realize that it feels too “crowded”, I like 3 columns or less.

2) I’d like you to be able to click through 3 different categories on the top navigation bar, “Goal Setting”, “Think Big” and “Think Money”, which happens on the new design.

3) Overall, the new design has things like a popular widget, featured post widget (slide show!), and nice fonts, which the old design didn’t have (or at least not straight out of box).

4) I got rid of Google Adsense for now, based on the clicking rates and the fact that it’s making reading a little more difficult. I’m thinking the ads don’t really go well with the content on my blog. Not sure if it’ll be back in the future, but for now Think Big Think Money will stay cleaner.

5) Most importantly, I’d like to start 2010 with a bang!
